Not long ago, I realized that it was difficult to squeeze in all of the regulatory requirements for solo in a student’s logbook. I developed this spreadsheet that literally copies from the relevant part 61 regulations for private pilot. I like to create a new spreadsheet for each student and check off the boxes as we finish them. Before solo, cross country solo, and checkride, I print the appropriate sections and review them with the student.
